Our report

Water

During the last year we managed to succeed a decrease of 5% in water use. We monitor regularly our consumption, checking all devices that use water that work properly and choosing plants that do not need a lot of watering. In the pool area we mop daily and clean with running water only once per week, in order to minimize water consumption.

We have been informed by the local water authority that there is water shortage in the area, especially during summer season and for that reason we try to follow a very specific plan and fid alternatives in our cleaning routine.

Energy

During the last year we followed an overall service program in all our AC systems, by checking sensors in all rooms to see if they indeed close when the key card is off. After thorough check we replaced a few sensors that do not work well. We have a very strict policy on taking off the key cards and turning off AC when the clients are off. This causing an energy consumption that should be avoided. The staff is continuously trained on energy conservation practices and we try to inspire our guests to follow this practice.

Waste and Recycling

Our biggest achievement

Last year we took the decision to stop buying plastic water bottles in the bar area. We use it only on the pool area where glass is forbidden. This simple action, combined with the water dispensers we have in the lobby in the employee area, lead to a decrease of 25% achieved in the first months of 2025. We have placed glass bottles in the rooms, so clients will avoid buying single use plastic bottles during their stay. This action was loved by our clients and our employees.

Next year we plan to locate water dispenser in every floor of the hotel and find alternatives for the plastics in the pool area and the single use soaps (maybe tetra pack or partially recycled package).

For recycling, we stared using a local company that transfers all our plastics directly to the recycling company, in order to be sure that everything will be managed properly.

Human resourcing

We continually promote a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees from different backgrounds and experiences are respected and valued.

We conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to understand staff concerns, suggestions, and areas for improvement.

We encourage and support employees' involvement in community service or volunteer opportunities.
