Environmental Policy
Our commitment
The hotel management understands the importance of protecting the environment and the primary goals are:
- to minimize or eliminate negative effects on the environment
- to evaluate climate changes and to be active in every possible way in protecting the environment
- to prevent pollution
- to strive for continuous improvement by setting targets
Our goals
1) Reduce the carbon emissions and waste production by 5% during the next 12 months
The measures that we will take to accomplish this target are the following:
- Regularly recording and monitoring the water use, the energy and the waste we produce
- Continuously informing all clients how they can save water and energy in the hotel environment as well as in their daily routine
- Replace single use plastic items with more sustainable and safe products (chips and plastic bottles that we use in the pool area)
- Try to find products that do not have so plastic in the packaging (breakfast)
- Try to find ecological substances for pool maintenance
2) Reduce water use by 5% in the next 12 months and continuously informing guests on the issue of water shortage
3) Have a positive impact on local biodiversity by taking the following steps:
- Actions for protecting any wildlife and forests in Kos
We train the hotel staff regularly, informing the clients, suppliers and partners to help us support our environmental policy.
